Description

Wheezes are a continuous breath sound with a musical tone. They may be either low or high-pitched. low-pitched wheezes have a moaning or snoring sound. High-pitched wheezes can be compared to a squeaking sound. Wheezes may be auscultated over anterior, posterior pr lateral chest walls. Wheezes are more intense over lung areas affected by partial obstructions.
